Community Guidelines

We, Black Girls At Leisure (BGAL), represent kindness and acknowledgment for all of our members (purchased an in-person membership) users (downloaded the BGAL mobile app or purchased a BGAL mobile app subscription). We create a safe and supportive space for all Black women.

  • BGALs create a safe environment for all members
  • BGALs speak about one another with kind and respectful regards
  • BGALs honor one another's time
  • BGALs communicate their feelings and thoughts
  • BGALs behave with integrity and represent one another well
  • BGALs participating in in-person events must be 21 years old, or older

Prohibited Behaviors

  • Physical or verbal fights/threatening behaviors
  • Gossiping or speaking ill of other BGALs
  • Creating an unsafe environment in any way
  • Self-promotion/utilizing the group to advance business (career or personal) ventures or otherwise "spamming"
  • Sharing sensitive information about others
  • Failure to uphold any part of this may result in termination of your membership or removal from the BGAL mobile app.

Membership Policy

Black Girls At Leisure (BGAL) is a safe space that stands for kindness, integrity, acceptance and acknowledgement. We work diligently to cultivate a warm and welcoming culture. We reserve the right to terminate any membership of a member who is not upholding Black Girls At Leisure community values or guidelines.

Subscriber Policy

Profiles are not to be used for commercial use (i.e. promoting your own or other’s businesses, brands, or services). Additionally, any objectionable content, or abusive users, are in no way tolerated. Any such content can be reported immediately.

Good Standing

A member is in good standing if they continue to uphold community guidelines without incidence.

Refund Policy

Black Girls At Leisure does not offer refunds, transfers, credits, or exchanges. If you are having any issues with or have any questions about your BGAL membership or subscription, please reach out to blackgirlsatleisure@gmail.com for assistance.

Termination Policy

Terminating your membership will remove you from our invitation list and remove your access to other community perks. Please be advised, BGAL memberships are nonrefundable. If you would like to terminate your BGAL membership you can do so by reaching out to blackgirlsatleisure@gmail.com.

BGAL Membership will be terminated within seven (7) business days, after initial notice. Termination does not grant a refund but will make us aware that you would no longer like to receive communication from BGAL.

BGAL members must remain in good standing at all times in order to attend meetups, receive members only perks, and continue with their BGAL membership. Failure to renew memberships will result in membership being interrupted until it is renewed by the member. Former members who were in good standing can reactivate their membership, by reaching out to blackgirlsatleisure@gmail.com for assistance.
